Demand creation for PHC, referral literacy, health promotion

LENASO has lot of expertise in implementing robust Primary Health Care services in the community. The organization has blend of expertise in demand creation, sensitization and awareness raising to promote uptake of services through different Community Mobilization methods, which include, public gatherings, community dialogues, focus group discussions, campaigns, conferences, Family Health Days, child health days, Universal Health Coverage Days and other community out-reach events to mobilize and advocate for referral and linkages to essential services including nutritional assessment, cervical cancer screening and COVID-19 vaccination. LENASO is supporting the MOH with personnel and transport during the different campaigns for vaccination, awareness and mobilization for other different diseases.

The organization has expertise in referrals and linkages to health services, the referrals are done using the Ministry of Health standard referral form and follow up is made to ensure that referred and linked clients have indeed received services they were referred for.  LENASO has more expertise in follow-up of patients and has vast experience in case management to ensure that quality services are rendered on individual case by case. LENASO also promote Accessibility and availability of services whereby the organization support outreach services and community centered approach. LENASO is the leading community partner of the Ministry of Health entrusted for demand creation for uptake of health service, ensuring bi-directional linkages both at health facility and community. LENASO has further developed a facility-to-facility tool to track and link clients from one facility to the other. The tool has since been adopted by the Ministry of health.
